Here's the 5 coolest things happening this weekend in Dublin 🌆

What’s the story in Dublin this week?

We’ve rounded up five cool things happening this week in Dublin! From the Feel Good vibes of the Blackrock Summerfest to the Witty Humour of “Comedians Without Borders”. The Dublin Buzz finds out the low down on 5 great things!

  1. Joanne McNally’s Prosecco Express

  2. Comedians Without Borders

  3. Dermot Kennedy at Marlay Park

  4. IMMA Outdoors: Music in the Courtyard

  5. Blackrock Village Summer Festival

Joanne McNally

June 23rd - Doors 7 - Sold Out

This tour has been on for a long time, but what an incredible show from Joanne, and it’s on again next week! I saw this tour for the first time last summer in Vicar street, with Gearóid Farrelly as the support act.

Joanne’s style of comedy may not be for everybody (Especially if you’re sitting with your mother) as she talks about the downright dirt of one night stands, looking for love. All of this is with a little sprinkle of wholesomeness of Saging, babies and fresh weekends!

If you can grab a ticket from a friend, off twitter or a resale…then you must!

The Stage is Set for a huge night!

Comedians Without Borders - Sin É

Sunday June 24th - 8pm - €7

Comedians Without Borders is just around the corner with a BIG line-up of hilarious and international comedians for your entertainment!

No better way to spend Saturday night than seeing international comedians bringing topics that anyone around the world can relate to and laugh out loud. Comedians from all over the world gather to tell some jokes and make you laugh HARD.

I’m excited to see this month's show that is headlined by the fantastic Jim Elliott. With support coming from all over the world with the hilarious Ben Verth, Liadh Ho, Nehal Singh and Nghia Mai.

Dermot Kennedy - Marlay Park

Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th - Gates 4pm - Tickets €53

Dermot Kennedy takes to the Marlay Park stage this weekend on Friday and Saturday to belt out a number of incredible tracks. Tickets sold out very quickly, but I refuse to travel home from Marlay Park due to the terrible transport situation. While I’d love to experience Dermot Kennedy's captivating live performance again after an incredible EP set a couple of years back, the practicalities of returning home safely after the concert have turned me off this one.

However, for those fortunate enough to attend, Marlay Park offers a stunning outdoor venue that perfectly complements Dermot Kennedy's soulful sound. Surrounded by lush greenery and the excitement of fellow fans, this concert promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Immerse yourself in Dermot Kennedy's music, as his powerful voice and deeply introspective lyrics weave a spellbinding atmosphere.

There are a number of tickets left on ticket master, but I doubt many!

IMMA Outdoors: Music in the Courtyard

June 25th - 3pm - Free

ToshĂn, lead by the powerful voice of Tosin Bankole, is a vibrant 6-piece band who take their inspiration from a variety of music spanning from early Motown to modern soul/RnB artists such as Tank and the Bangas and Anderson . Paak.

Throughout the summer IMMA Outdoors presents a free music and performance programme every Sunday afternoon in the beautiful surroundings of the IMMA Courtyard. Bring your friends and family along and enjoy a wide range of atmospheric and exciting music events, all free of charge!

The The programme includes DJ sets, indie folk bands, traditional Irish tunes, afrobeat’s and more.

Blackrock Village Summer Festival

Saturday June 24th & Sunday June 25th - Start 12pm to 4pm - Free

This incredible occasion, set to unfold over two days, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of June is one of my favourite times of the year. Town’s around Ireland host summer festivals each year and I love seeing how much joy it brings to people to see the fun and delight of all the townspeople.

Get ready for an unforgettable weekend filled with music, food, and fun as the festival gives back to the amazing people of Blackrock! Enjoy FREE BBQ delights and mouth-watering treats, courtesy of generous sponsor, SuperValu!

There will be plenty of fun for people of all ages with Face Painting, Live music, Carnival Rides, Balloon Art and much more on the way!

The festival will sprawl throughout the Blackrock Village Centre, extending its joyful energy to a portion of the centre's car park.
