HALFTONE is an annual event created by PhotoIreland, taking place at The Library Project in Temple Bar. This event is ideal for discovering prints from a variety of techniques, and is a great opportunity to buy amazing artwork at reasonable prices. In the nine years since it began, HALFTONE has managed to raise over €70,000 for artists, giving them the support they need to showcase their work and advocate for their practice.

The event is open to anyone interested in fine art prints, illustrations, designs, photography, and more. An invitation process is in place for artists seeking to display and sell their art, with sales benefiting both the artists and public collections. Look forward to the 9th edition of HALFTONE in November 2023 - come join us and take part in the art experience!

Aoibheann Greenan—The Ninth Muse

Pallas Projects, Liberties - Thursday November 2nd - 6-8pm

Aoibheann Greenan's final exhibition for the 2023 Artist-Initiated Projects programme, The Ninth Muse, considers the potential implications of brain-machine interfacing.

The exhibition explores the parallels between Artificial Intelligence and the Nine Muses of classical myth, and the often overlooked corporate interests inherent in our interactions with products. The centerpiece of the show is the 'Muse' headband - a consumer-grade EEG device intended to enhance meditation. Greenan's work outlines feminist approaches to de-center corporate control over our subconscious minds.

Please share this event guide with your friends or family who might enjoy some of the events in here!

We’re working on something new to bring to the free events scene in Dublin and hope to publish soon.
