What’s the story in Dublin this week?
Despite the back to school weather beaming down on the city of Dublin this weekend! A busy schedule prevented me getting to any event. I settled for a post match recovery day, followed by a hungover Sunday with only a remote and endless sport to entertain me.
But what did you get up to this weekend?
We’re rounded up five cool things happening this week in Dublin for Free! Discover the buzz in Dublin this week! This weekend there is plenty to see and plenty to do alongside our Free events!. Have a look and see what’s there!
This week we are covering solely Free events! We really love getting into the best cultural events and not just live music!
Dublin City Council HipHop Showcase
Sunday 17th September - 12.00pm - 5pm - Free!
Don’t miss out, as recited by the Lord Mayor of Dublin “ Dublin City Council Hip Hop Showcase offers a fantastic opportunity for families to visit the city centre and enjoy an incredible range of entertainment’.
Fantastic performances including hip hop dances, DJ demos and dance battles reminiscent to those on popular movies like ‘Step Up’, will be on show. It’s a day of thrills and fun that can’t be missed.
You will get to see performances from some incredible artists including; IMLÉ, Limerockers Cru, UMAKOKO, Raw Edge Crew, DJ Flip, Lulu, DJ CC and DJ B.O.G.
If you are buzzing like me and can’t wait to see these acts, please get there early as tickets are limited and operate on first come first serve basis!
Saturday September 16th - 11.00am - 4.00pm - Free!
Tymon Park Food and Craft Market hosted by Dublins market events has been running weekly since the beginning of May, with stalls opening from 11.00am to 4.00pm every Saturday.
Take in the beautiful autumnal surroundings that fill the park with so much beauty whilst enjoying great food and discovering beautiful Irish craft on display.
Enjoy the fantastic musical talents that will be coming live from the park and entertainment that follows.
You will go home talking about the great food, wonderful craftsmanship, amazing local talent and enjoyable activities within a beautiful autumnal park

Be part of the Minaw Collective celebration, celebrating 10 years of empowerment through the beauty of street art. The Minaw Collective established in 2013, consists of all female artists who wanted to lead change in the urban art realms in Ireland.
Since 2013, the amazing team of artists have changed the landscape of Irish street art, which has been recognised nationally and internationally for the murals they have created.
The past decade of inspirational change in the form of art from a team of all-female artist has brought to the surface creativity, camaraderie and empowerment.
To mark the incredible work that these wonderful artists have done in the past decade, an exhibition will be held in the Phase Art space, 27 Garville Lane, Rathgar, Dublin 6 to illustrate the beautiful pieces they have painted!

IMMA Outdoors 2023 presented by the Irish Museum of Modern Art, provides numerous events to get involved with across the 48 acre site.
The events conducted by a series of artists include tours, workshops screenings, talks, followed by live music and performances
IMMA Outdoors 2023, spoils you with different events, from evening events every Thursday to family orientated Sundays and earth Rising Festivals that take place in September(this month!)
