Join a free drop-in art drawing activity at Chester Beatty, Dublin with artist Roxana Manouchehri.
Learn drawing techniques, including line drawing, shading, perspective, and decoration during these relaxed and informal sessions with artist Roxana Manouchehri. Materials are provided but please feel free to bring your favourites. Suitable for adults and teens. Teens must be supervised by their parent or guardian.
September’s session will focus on Quick Sketches. It is Limited to 20 participants. FREE, no booking required.

Explore Eleanor McCaughey’s mixed media exhibition in a relaxed way with us. Enjoy hearing what your children might think of the gallery exhibition and about the different textures and colours - and maybe we can have a peek backstage too, at the stage and the dressing rooms!

This September join a free special guided tour about the artefacts and shrines connected to Irish saints and how Christianity influenced the development of writing.
Join NMI to discover the artefacts associated with the patron saints of Ireland, St. Patrick, St. Brigid, & St. Colmcille, & see what archaeological evidence can tell us about the impact of Christianity to Ireland & which objects demonstrate the development of writing techniques.
Free tour, no booking required, places allocated on a first come first served basis. Meet in the Reception, on the ground floor. Partially wheelchair accessible. Families with children 8+yrs.

Join in for an Irish Sign Language-interpreted Guided tour that unpacks the fascinating history of Collins Barracks.
In recognition of International Week of the Deaf, join in for an Irish Sign Language-interpreted tour that unpacks the fascinating history of Collins Barracks.
From Barracks to Museum explores the history of the site of Collins Barracks, from its settlement by Vikings in the 12th century to its re-furbishment as the National Museum of Ireland.
Who built Collins Barracks? What were the lives like of the soldiers who called it home? Which artefacts does it house today? All these questions and more will be explored.
No booking is required.
Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. However, priority will be given to members of the Deaf community and those who are deaf or hard of hearing

The Dublin Comic Arts Festival is an ongoing series of quarterly small press comic book events in Dublin.
DCAF is a small press comic book event, created to showcase local comic creators and celebrate the spectrum of Irish sequential art. The small press comic scene has been growing in Ireland for years, but Irish comic creators often travel across the globe to find Comic Arts Festivals to exhibit their work. We feel it's time for some Comic Arts Festivals closer to home!
